Description
ORGA is the acronym for the Oconee River Greenway Authority. The Oconee River Greenway Authority (ORGA) is a State Authority that was established in 2002 to protect the Oconee River and the surrounding archeological and historic sites. ORGA will also develop unique park sites along the Oconee River for purposes of recreation, historic preservation, education and/or conservation. Although the river will serve as a link to the parks, a greenway or trail will also be constructed.
